White Energy, one of the nation’s leading producers of biofuels, animal feed and food ingredients, announced today that its ethanol processing facility in Russell, Kansas has gone 4,500 days — more than 12 years — without a lost workday incident. Employee safety is a top priority for White Energy and plant manager Mike Ernst is constantly reinforcing that message.
“Our goal is to produce ethanol safety and efficiently,” Ernst said. “We have an exceptional workforce that understands the importance of our safety procedures and adheres to them. I’m proud of our team and hope we can extend this safety milestone for many years to come.”
