The Hereford, Texas plant is an ICM designed, Fagen constructed plant that began production in 2008. The state-of-the-art ethanol production facility has increased production by 18 percent over the past five years and enjoyed its highest production year ever in 2017.
The plant is strategically located on a BNSF rail line that delivers feedstock supplies. It also provides convenient access to the nation’s leading ethanol markets in California and Texas. An on-site rail loop holds 172 railcars that efficiently deliver more than 75% of the ethanol produced at the plant. Trucks transport the remaining ethanol to nearby markets.
White Energy has recently invested more than $10 million in capital investments at the plant, including a CO2 scrubber to reduce production bottlenecks and improve ethanol yields and the installation of a ICM Tricanter that separates distillers corn oil to generate additional revenues.
