White Energy, one of the nation’s leading producers of biofuels, animal feed and food ingredients, announced that its Hereford, Texas plant now has a permitted production capacity of 130 million gallons of ethanol per year. The plant, designed by ICM and built by Fagen, had a nameplate capacity of 100 million gallons per year when it opened in 2008.
“This plant is poised to begin immediately ramping up its ethanol production. We continue to invest in capital improvements that will reduce production bottlenecks and we expect to approach the 130 million gallon capacity next year,” said Grant Johanson, White Energy’s Interim CEO.
The Hereford plant produced 108.3 million gallons of ethanol in 2016 and is projected to produce more than 115 million gallons in 2017.
